Low Speed, High Torque
CHALLENGER® Grinders use a low speed, high torque design that allows for low impact, minimal maintenance, and low noise.
The Cutting System
With the most advanced cutting system, Advanced Recycling Equipment, Inc. has become a technology leader. CHALLENGER® Grinders range in size from 1-foot wide to 10-feet wide, capable of producing 500 to 40,000 pounds per hour.
The CHALLENGER® Fixcut System is the most productive cutting system on the market, available in both large and small configurations to best fit your needs. CHALLENGER®’s cutting system cuts through the most difficult waste material, such as bark, green wood, plastics, paper, cardboard, slabs, etc. Its design provides better definition and more consistent product in one single pass.
High Definition Recessed Rotor
CHALLENGER® Grinders are designed with a “High Definition Recessed Rotor,” a solid steel rotor with recessed cutters that affords a closer tolerance for higher efficiency and increased throughput of smaller particle-sized material and less re-grind.
The Recessed Rotor is ideal for producing by-products from animal bedding to landscaping mulch, or any product that requires a more uniform size in its end product, such as playground material.
Various Screen Sizes
Various screen sizes and features are available to produce products ranging from mulch material to small animal bedding. Screen sizes range from 3/8-inches up to 2-1/2-inches, with Baffles also available for even finer material consistency. Additionally, Screens are constructed in 1-foot sections to ensure structural integrity, ease of handling, and mixed material sizes.
Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
Through the incorporation of Programmable Logic Controls, CHALLENGER® Grinders can be fine-tuned to achieve maximum output efficiency on many different types of material. All control panels are equipped with state-of-the-art Siemens controls, allowing the customer full automation and customization. Not to mention, Advanced Recycling Equipment, Inc. employs a staff of full-time Service Technicians to answer any of your questions, before and after the sale.
Serviceability of Equipment
Advanced Recycling Equipment, Inc. has taken great care to ensure the serviceability of its equipment. All motors and hydraulics are well-protected, yet easily accessible for ease of maintenance. All screens and cutterbars are constructed in one foot sections, allowing easy access to service the rotor and cutters and decreasing replacement time and costs.
In addition, included in the price of each CHALLENGER® Grinder is the availability of one of our highly-trained Service Technicians for on-site startup.
